Quantum route planner
Pick two places. The planner finds the route with the fewest quantum legs, then the shortest distance, going around any star, planet or moon that blocks the straight line, and through jump points between systems.
Examples: Lorville to Area18, Aberdeen to Everus Harbor, Lorville to Ruin Station (Pyro).
How routes are found
- Positions: 575 locations from the Star Citizen Wiki (
/locations/positions, game build default), of which 572 can be picked (Stanton, Pyro, Nyx): the places the game marks as quantum targets and does not hide, plus the jump points. - A leg is a straight line between two positions. It is blocked when it passes inside a star's, planet's or moon's quantum obstruction radius, the game's own figure (31 bodies). Nyx I, Nyx II, Nyx III have no radius in the data and do not block legs.
- A route may stop at planets, moons, stations, landing zones, nav points and jump points. If you start or end on a surface, the climb out or the descent is not routed: the leg is measured from or to that place.
- Between systems the route passes through a jump-point pair, shown as a jump of 0 km. Jump fuel and tunnel time are not modelled.
- Distances are between the game's position records. The game's arrival points sit some way above a destination, so the in-game figure can differ by a few hundred to a few thousand km. Travel time is not given: the data has each drive's time for 10 Gm, not a model for other distances.
